When its blustery and cold outside, my favorite thing to do – besides read a book, of course – is to host cozy game nights with family and friends, complete with stove-top popcorn, apple cider and some friendly competition! I recently discovered two board games that I want to share with you: Ticket to Ride, a cross-country train adventure, and Quilt Show, a game truly after my own heart. I enjoyed playing the latter with friends recently, and while I assumed that as a quilting enthusiast I had an unfair advantage over my competition, my loss came as quite as surprise. Here’s a sneaky tip: This game requires strategy and cunning, not just the ability to make beautiful quilts. Trust me, I learned the hard way.
