AN IMPORTANT NOTE TO OUR AOL CUSTOMERS
Thank you for your desire to become a Reading Friend! If you use AOL to log on to the Internet, we have some bad news and some good news.
First, the Bad News: AOL doesn't like our site! Can you believe it? If you're an AOL customer, you will most likely have trouble trying login to the site after you have completed your registration.
Now for the Good News: even though you might have trouble trying to login, you can still become a Reading Friend, and with some help, you should be up and running in no time!
Here's what you need to do:
- Complete the registration form here.
- You will be sent an email to your AOL email address verifying your
membership. The email will include a link that will allow you to complete the registration. Highlight this link with your mouse and do a RIGHT click. Click COPY.
- Now comes the hardest part. You will need to minimize your AOL software (do not close AOL, just minimize it). Do this by going up to the very top right hand corner of your screen and pressing the button that looks like a minus sign.
- Now you will need to open up a web browser. There are several kinds of web browsers but you're probably most familiar with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari (if you're on a Mac). Locate one of these web browsers on your computer and click on it. You should quickly be on the Internet.
- Now you will need to paste the link that you just copied into the address bar at the top of the web browser. Then press enter (or return).
- Then simply type the following into the address bar: http://mariebostwick.com
- You should now be able to login using the name and password you chose during the registration process.
